Australian Pain Society – The First 35 Years
The Australian Pain Society is a not-for-profit organisation formed in 1979 as the Australasian Chapter of the International Association for the Study of Pain. Its aim is for all people to have timely recognition, prevention and management of pain across their lifespan.
In 2015, the society marked their 35th anniversary by commissioning me to write its history. The result is this colourful and high quality book which also serves as a significant documentary record for its members. It was launched at the Society’s 2015 conference in Brisbane.
